The Best Lip Balms

The Best Lip Balms
Now that spring is in full swing, the days are getting sunnier – which may be a good thing for our closets (time to bring out the flirty florals!), but not necessarily great news for our lips. After all, too much sun exposure can dry out lips and give them a dull, cracked appearance instead of the Kissable Look everyone tries to achieve. Since lip gloss and sun don't mix, another alternative for when you want to play up your lips is to swipe on some sheer balm – you’ll instantly feel more fresh and put together! And since so many balms are tinted nowadays, your lips will get a pretty wash of color without the heaviness of a lipstick. I love lip balms because they’re so easy to swipe on and go!

On the bright side, there are now hundreds of lip balms out there, all promising to “moisturize”, “silkify”, “tint” and even “plump”. On the down side, not all of them will actually do what they promise. In the end, how do you know which balms you should trust? When it comes to buying lip balm, here’s what you should look for:

Avoid:

Menthol, camphor and phenol: These three ingredients will give your lips a nice cooling sensation, but be warned – in the end, all they will do in the end is dry them out! It’s a vicious cycle you definitely want to avoid.
Artificial fragrances: We all want our lips to smell yummy, but a lot of artificial fragrances in balms can suck the moisture right out of your lips. Try a balm that contains natural oils instead, like the pretty-smelling ROSEBUD SALVE.
Salicylic acid: This is a great ingredient to look for when treating acne-prone skin, but when applied to your lips it will dry them out and make them peel – not a pretty combination!

Look for:

Beeswax, cocoa butter and lanoline: All of these ingredients will give your lips a big dose of moisture, without any drying after-effects
Sunscreen: If a balm doesn’t have sunscreen, then all the moisturizing ingredients in the world won’t protect you from the sun’s drying rays. Of course, if you have different balms for separate occasions (i.e. a darker tinted balm you like to wear just at night), then they may not all have to include sunscreen. Just make sure that at least one does!
Coconut oil, jojoba oil and hemp oil: All of these ingredients don’t just treat your lips temporarily, but they actually allow your lips to absorb the oil and effectively treat dryness beneath the surface.

Hope this helped! Let me know what you're favorite lip balms are in the comments below.

How to Get Rid of Dark Circles.
Hi everyone,

Almost everyone I know has a form of “panda eyes” - you know, those dark circles under your eyes that make it look like you haven’t slept in days? Dark circles might look cute on those cuddly bears, but on humans it can be a different story. Since 9 out of 10 people have this problem, chances are you’ve experienced it before. But don’t get upset! There are so many different reasons why we get them, and I'm here to show you how to get rid of them!

What you Need:
-Licorice Extract
-Vitamin K
-Aloe Gel

(you can do this in any container, but it helps to do it in an empty contact case.)

~1. Poke a Hole in the Vitamin K & Squeeze out 3 Drops.
~2. Add 2 Drops of Licorice Extract & stir the two ingredients together.
~3. Add 1 Small squirt of Aloe Gel & Mix Again.

VOILA! Pretty Easy Huh!? Now you can apply this to your under eye area and say Bye, Bye to those unattractive Panda Eyes.

Beauty Advice: Healthy Hair Secrets.
Hi Everyone! Hannah Here. Today's Tip is on How to get and Maintain Healthy Hair. Enjoy:

We all want gorgeous, glossy hair. But the reality is most of us are damaging our hair on daily basis without even knowing it. So today I’m spilling some healthy hair secrets. Get ready for those lustrous locks!

1. Let Your Hair Down – regularly pulling hair back in a ponytail or bun too tightly can cause damage. And removing hair elastics often leads to breakage. When it just must go up, opt for HAIR TIES that slide easily out of hair.

2. Don’t Wash Everyday – washing hair too frequently strips it of its natural oils, which actually causes the scalp to produce more oil. If you are in a pattern of everyday washing, skipping a shampoo probably makes for a greasy head of hair. It will take some time for your scalp to adjust to less frequent washes. But be patient, eventually your hair will thank you.

3. Brush Before Washing – when you do wash your hair, brush it beforehand. Not only does pre-shower brushing make for fewer post-shower tangles, but brushing also dissolves dirt and product build up and disperses hair’s natural oils. BOAR BRISTLE BRUSHES are great for distributing oils evenly from root to tip. They are also extremely gentle.

4. Never Brush When Wet – Hair stretches and is most prone to breakage when it’s wet. Use a WIDE-TOOTH COMB or your fingers to gently untangle knots and save the brush for when hair is at least 90% dry.

5. Dry with Care – rather than using a towel, dry hair with an old, worn-in, super soft tee shirt. And pat dry; don’t rub. Rubbing hair with a towel roughs up the cuticle, which can cause frizz and breakage.

6. Watch the Water Temp – hot water is drying, to your skin and to your hair. Wash hair under tepid water and do your final rinse with the coldest blast you can handle. Cold water will seal the cuticle, promoting shiny hair.

7. Condition. Condition. Condition – you should condition hair every time it is wet, but only the ends. Just like you really only need to shampoo the scalp, conditioner is only needed on the ends, where the hair is much drier. And once a week, use a DEEP CONDITIONING MASK all over. For extra healing, after you’ve applied the mask cover your hair with a SHOWER CAP, this locks in the moisture and the heat from the shower will take care of the rest.

8. Cool it with Heat Styling – hot tools like hair dryers and curling irons are very damaging to hair. Embrace your hair’s natural state as often as possible. When you do use hot tools be sure to protect hair first with a PRODUCT that coats the cuticle—creating a barrier between the hair and the heat. And watch the temperature setting too; using hot tools on high settings can cause hair to become dry and brittle. Start at the lowest setting and work up if necessary.

9. Color with Caution – if you color your hair, try to stay as close to your natural color as possible. The more drastic the color difference, the more ammonia, bleach or other harsh chemicals were used to get it there.

10. Sleep on Silk – silk pillowcases are much smoother than cotton pillowcases, which means less tugging and tangling, and therefore less breakage and damage. Sleeping on silk also reduces frizz.

If you have any Healthy Hair Secrets feel free to share them in the comments section below. Hope this Helped.

Confidence♥

Confidence♥
Heyy Beauties! Hannah here (: This tip as you can tell is on confidence. I hope this really helps with how you see yourself, and your self-esteem;

Everyone has struggles with their confidence and self-esteem, I have a longer nose and have always hated it. My parents used to tell me I'm lucky I have one because It's what seperates me from the crowd, it's what makes me , me. My parents taught me to love myself the way I am, because if you don't love yourself, how do you expect someone to love you?
I also realized that even though some people may not like my blond hair, or my long nose, I could care less. As for my imperfections, I focus on the positives. I have bright blue eyes, natural beach waves, and i'm tall and skinny.
Okay, I'm done with my little story. But the message behind it is true. Stand up for yourself and be confident. It may take baby steps and courage, but you feel so much more like yourself when you look and feel how you want to.
For example, everyone in my school has long brown hair and I have mid-length blond wavy hair, and maybe some girls treat me differently, but who cares what they think? Discover who you are and stick to it,don't let people who try to make you like them achieve their goal, you're unique and one of a kind. I hope this made sense, and if it did I'm glad:)

Here's some things to help with confidence:
~focus on your favorite features

~look in the mirror and say," I'm beautiful and amazing." You may not believe it at first, but over time you will:)

~do things you're great at!

~only talk to friends that bring out the best YOU.

~stand up for yourself if someone is bringing you down

How to Cure a Stomachache

How to Cure a Stomachache
Heyy Beauties! Hannah Here (: so i have stomachaches a lot but i never know what to do with them, but i found this article like last week and it helped me a lot. it's from wikihow. Hope this helps. Enjoy;

O1.Stop eating for a couple of hours to see if your stomach ache goes away. Lie down on your bed or on your couch, and put a pillow under your feet so that your feet are higher than your head. Close your eyes and try to relax.

O2. Slowly start drinking clear liquids to see if your stomach can handle them.
Suck on some ice chips or take tiny sips of water. If the water makes your stomach ache worse, then stop drinking it.[1]
Make some herbal tea that has peppermint in it. Peppermint calms the muscles in your stomach allowing your body to more easily and painlessly digest food.
Sip some clear chicken broth. If you have it on hand, drink broth that is low in sodium. You want the liquid to be as bland as possible so that it doesn't end up making things worse.

O3. Try ginger to reduce nausea. Multiple studies have shown ginger can help calm nausea.Take some ginger root capsules, which you can buy at a drugstore or at the supermarket. The dose is 2 ginger capsules (1 gram) 3 times daily.
Grind some fresh ginger in hot water and mix it with honey to make ginger tea. Recommended dosage is 2-4 grams of fresh ginger, but only 1 gram for pregnant women

O4. Take an antacid. Something like Tums or Milk of Magnesia can go a long way toward making your stomach feel better.

O5. Get plenty of rest. It's okay to put other areas of your life on hold when you're not feeling well. You especially need to rest if you end up vomiting or having diarrhea along with your stomach pain

here is the website with more info it is really helpful so i suggest that you use it. http://www.wikihow.com/Cure-a-Stomach-Ache

thanks for reading.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cupcakes ♥

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cupcakes ♥
Heyy Beauties! Hannah here (: Okayy! Soo How freakin' Delicious do these look!!? I was gonna do a healthier recipe, but I couldn't resist. Like seriously I want these for my birthday! Haha Well, anyway enough of that on to the recipe. Enjoy;

Ingredients;

Recipe by Our Best Bites

1 Duncan Hines yellow or white cake mix
1 cup sour cream (full-fat or light, but not fat-free)
3 eggs
1/4 cup canola oil
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
24 unwrapped mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups

Chocolate Frosting:

1/4 cup melted butter (real butter, not margarine)
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 pound powdered sugar
3 tablespoons evaporated milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Peanut Butter Frosting:

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup real butter, softened
2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2-3 tablespoons (or more) of milk (you can use some of the leftover evaporated milk; it’s awesome in this frosting)

Preheat oven to 350. Line 2 12-cup muffin tins with cupcake liners and set aside.

In a large bowl, combine all the cupcake ingredients except for the peanut butter cups with an electric mixer on medium-low speed for 30 seconds, scraping the bowl frequently. Turn the speed to high and beat for another 3 minutes.

Fill each muffin cup about 1/2 full with batter. Top with an unwrapped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup , then fill the muffin cups with the remaining batter. Make sure the Peanut Butter Cups are covered and the cups are about 3/4 full. Bake for 18-22 minutes or until the tops are golden. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely.

While the cupcakes are cooling, prepare the frostings. For both frostings, just combine all the ingredients for each one and whip until light and fluffy, adding additional milk as needed. Frost the cupcakes with a frosting :)
